When not sewing kids have their choice of indoor free play, working in the art area, or outdoor water play.
Note: Each week has a series of planned projects. If we finish the week's planned projects early, kids can sew books, make headbands, make scrunchies, or we might add in another extra project the kids request (this often happens).
Our Summer Camp is open to rising 1st Graders and Up.

July 8th- 12th
In this week kids will make a Zipper Pouch "Wet Bag", a Jelly Vinyl Pouch, and Insulated Snack Bags for summer snacks . To make their wet bag kids will use a waterproof lining making it perfect for wet swimsuits. To make their snack bags kids will use a food safe water resistant lining and insulated batting. Kids will design all of their projects using a variety of material and fancy zipper options.

Camp For Rising 2nd- 4th Graders
In this week kids will make a "Squishmallow" Style Plushie and an Upcycled Zip Pouch out of recycled chip and candy bags.

July 22nd - July 26th
In this week kids will make a Patchwork Style Tote, Confetti Shaker Pouches, and Scrunchies/Headbands. To design their tote kids will piece together smaller pieces of fabric and vinyl to prepare their tote bag panels. Kids can add in the option step of free motion quilting before sewing their bag together. To design their confetti shaker pouches kids will sew clear and jelly vinyl together to make a see through pocket to fill with confetti and glitter before sewing their pouch closed- this is always a favorite among the kids! (and don’t worry the glitter is fully enclosed)

July 29th - August 2nd
In this week kids will make a Drawstring Backpack, a Ziptop "Wallet" with an exterior card pocket, and Snap Pouches. To design their drawstring backpack kids will have their choice of a variety of materials and strap options. More advanced sewers may add a zipper pocket to their backpacks. Kids will use a rivet press during the week to install grommets in their backpack, and snaps in the pouches.

August 19th- 23rd
In this week kids will make clip on back pack accessories and a pencil pouch to get ready for school! They will make clip on squish style plushies, clip on boxy style mini zip pouches, a clip on snap pouch, and we will use the embroidery machine to make clip on name tags. The kids will also make a full sized pencil pouch.
